49. Describe a time when someone asked for your opinion.

You should say:

Who asked for your opinion?

Why he/she wanted to know your opinion?

What opinion you gave?

And explain how you felt when he/she asked for your opinion?

Sample Answer

Sarah, a colleague at work, asked for my opinion because she was trying to decide which software tool to use for a project. She knew I had experience with similar tools and thought my insights could help her make an informed choice.

I suggested that she consider Tool A for its user-friendly interface and quick learning curve, which would be beneficial if her team had a tight deadline. However, I also mentioned Tool B's advanced features and customization options if the project required more complex functionality.

Knowing that my expertise could assist Sarah in making an important decision could provide a sense of accomplishment. I felt a sense of usefulness and fulfillment. Additionally, being approached for my opinion created a positive and collaborative atmosphere in the workplace.
