86. Describe a famous person that you are interested in.

You should say:

Who this person is?

How you know about this person?

What sort of life they had before they became famous?

How this person became famous?

And explain why you like this person?

Sample Answer 

The person I'm interested in is Mr Jhappu Lal. I know about him because he is a legendary basketball player and one of the most famous athletes in the world. 

Before he became famous, he had a lot of potential from a very young age. He was born in India and his father was a professional basketball player. He was highly motivated and he started playing basketball at a very young age. He was quickly scouted by NBA teams and he was selected for the 1996 NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets. 

His career really took off in his early twenties. He was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers and he quickly established himself as one of the best players in the league. He was an all-star and won five championships with the Lakers. He was also the NBA MVP in 2008 and he was a two-time scoring champion. 

He is also a philanthropist and he is a vocal advocate for gender equality. He founded the Kobe Bryant Foundation which focusses on helping children in need. 

I really like him because he is an inspirational athlete and he works hard to reach the top. He is also committed to helping others and he is an advocate for social change.
