Sample Answer 1

Band 7.5

Dear Sir,

I am writing to inquire about Vishal Goyal's whereabouts, a long-lost childhood friend. He was recently interviewed, and the outcome was published in the second issue of your reputable publication.

Vishal and I used to live close by and were really good friends, but I relocated to New York after college and we lost contact. I saw an article about his industrial accomplishments the day before yesterday and felt compelled to congratulate my buddy. Unfortunately, I am unable to do so since I lack his e-mail address or contact number. Assuming you have contact information for him, as you did for that piece, I hope you can assist me in contacting my long-time buddy.

I am well aware that this kind of information is private, but I can tell you that Henry is very familiar with me. I have included some of our childhood photos to further persuade you. I hope you would consider assisting me.

Thank you in advance.

Yours sincerely

Dear Sir,

I am writing to inquire about my lost childhood friend, Henry Chadwick. He recently gave an interview which was published in the 2nd edition of your esteemed newspaper.

Henry and I were neighbours. We used to live nearby and were very close friends, but after graduation, I moved to New York and we lost touch. The day before yesterday, I read an article about his achievements in the industrial area and felt like congratulating my friend. Dear Sir,

I am writing to inquire about my lost childhood friend, Elizabeth Jonas. She recently wrote an article which was published in the second edition of your esteemed newspaper.

Elizabeth and I used to live in the same neighbourhood and were very good friends. We had completed our senior secondary education together, but to continue our higher studies, we drifted apart as we had selected different courses and lost contact. On 5 August, I saw articles on the environment in your newspaper, and found my friend to be a part of it. I want to congratulate my friend, but unfortunately, I do not have his e-mail address and contact number. Assuming that you should have personal information about the article writers, it would help me contact my childhood friend.

I can understand that sharing personal information about the writers is not allowed, but to prove myself, I have sent you Elizabeth and my pictures with the letter.

I would appreciate it if you could help me with the relevant information.

Thank you in anticipation.

Yours faithfully
