16. You rent an apartment. You want to tell your landlord that you are happy with the apartment in general, but there are some small repairs that need to be carried out.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter

• say what you like about the apartment

• describe the repairs that need to be made

I hope you are in excellent health as I write this letter. This letter is being written to express my thoughts about your flat.

After renting this flat, my life has gotten so much more pleasant. The flat and its location appeal to me. This establishment's contemporary design appeals to me. You have given numerous amenities for this home, such as parking and ventilation systems.

However, I am experiencing a little issue with this flat. The air conditioner is inoperable and sometimes makes a noise. As you are aware, I am new to this city and know very little about it. Could you kindly provide me the phone number of a reliable electrician that can service my air conditioner? My kitchen cabinet is also broken. Could you please get it fixed?

However, I am facing a minor problem with this apartment. To begin, the air conditioner does not work properly and occasionally makes a noise. As you know, I am new to this city and I don’t know much about this city. Would you please share the number of a good electrician who repairs the air conditioner well? I hope this letter finds you in good health, and your family as well. I am writing to inform you that your apartment is fully ventilated and cozy, while having some small repairs.

The apartment is quite modern because both the rooms are very large with attached bathrooms, a separate kitchen and a dining room. Moreover, I like the spacious balcony very much because there is a large window to let in plenty of natural light and fresh air. I spend most of my evening time there to see the beautiful view of the garden.

But there are some problems regarding sanitation and kitchen fittings. Firstly, the water tank on the toilet has not working, and it has always been empty since I lived in the apartment. Secondly, one of the locks in the kitchen drawer is broken, and it remains unlocked.

I would appreciate it if you could send a plumber and a carpenter to solve these small, but serious issues amicably so that I can live here a long and comfortable life.
