Band 6

The maps illustrate the construction images of Felixstone between 1967 and 2001.

Overall, the Felixstone has witnessed spectacular changes because a swimming pool, a hotel, a tennis court, a private beach, a public beach, and a car park were constructed without affecting the natural resources.

To begin with, it was interesting to note that the farmland was removed and replaced with the swimming pool, hotel and tennis court, which were located on the east side of the high street. It is also evident that fish markets, a marina, and a pier were converted into private, located on the southeast side of the cafe.

Another significant development was the construction of the public beach which was built on the southern side. Likewise, another noticeable development was the construction of the car park which was connected with the hotel and located on the west side of the dunes.
