The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

                                      The chart provides data on the actual number of telephone calls in the UK from 1995 to 2002.

                          In terms of local calls, the total minutes of fixed-line calls were 72 billion in 1995, gradually increasing to 90 billion in 1997 and 1998. However, the proportion of local fixed calls decreased, reaching a low of 70 billion in 2000. National and international calls amounted to 35 billion in 1995, steadily increasing to 52 billion in 2000. In 2002, the number of telephone calls increased to 60 billion, surpassing the previous year's figure of 55 billion.

          Regarding mobile phones, there were 5 billion calls in 1995, which experienced a significant rise to 20 billion in 1999. By 2000, the number of mobile phone calls reached 22 billion, and it further increased to 40 billion in 2002.

           In summary, national and international fixed-line calls accounted for the highest proportion, while mobile calls had the lowest proportion.

                                  Regarding local calls, the total minutes of fixed-line calls in 1995 were 72 billion, while the figure increased slowly and reached 90 billion in 1997 and 1998. In 2000, the proportion of local fixed calls decreased, reaching a low of 70 billion. Looking at national and international calls, the proportion of calls in 1995 was 35 billion; however, the number increased consistently and reached 52 billion in 2000. More telephone calls (60 billion) were received in 2002 than in 2001 (55 billion).

                                Turning to mobile phones, the actual use of mobile phones for all calls was 5 billion in 1995. However, the demand increased, reaching a high of 20 billion in 1999. In 2000, 22 billion calls were received, whereas the actual use of mobile for all calls increased by 20 billion in 2002.

                                In summary, it can be seen that national and international fixed-line calls made up the highest proportion, while mobile calls made up the lowest proportion.

                                        The chart gives information about the total amount of time spent on calls in the UK between 1995 and 2002.

                                   To begin with, in 1995, around 72 billion minutes were spent on local calls, whereas only 35 billion minutes were consumed for international calls. The figure for mobile calls stood at 5 billion. In 1996, the figure for local calls numbered 80 billion. In contrast, only 42 billion minutes were spent on international calls. Interestingly, in 1998, almost 90 billion minutes were consumed for local calls, which was higher than that of international calls (50 billion).

                                    In 2000, approximately 85 billion minutes were spent on local calls, while only 60 billion minutes were used for international calls. Notably, in 2001, the figure for local, international, and mobile calls amounted to 80, 60 and 40 billion minutes, respectively.

                                In summary, it can be seen that the greatest amount of time was spent on local calls, whereas the lowest was consumed for mobile calls.
