The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.

 Sample Answer 1

The above diagrams depict the various procedures and equipment utilised in the production of cement and concrete, correspondingly. Cement is generally composed of limestone and clay, whereas concrete is composed of gravel, sand, and cement.

Cement production consists of five discrete phases which are sequentially performed in order. In the beginning of the process, crushed raw materials, specifically limestone and clay, are mixed together to create the optimum mixture. This mixture is then used in the process.

Subsequently, the mixture is introduced into a heater that is in a state of rotation. Upon the completion of the methodical process, the mixture undergoes a transformation into cement and afterwards undergoes packaging in bags.

Cement plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process of concrete. The remaining constituents, namely sand, water, and gravel, are combined in order to generate concrete. The gravel component accounts for approximately 50% of the whole mixture, followed by sand at 25%, cement at 15%, and water at 10%.

BAND 6.5

The diagrams illustrate the processes and equipment needed to manufacture cement and concrete, respectively. According to the given information, concrete is mostly comprised of gravel, sand, and cement, with limestone and clay acting as the primary components of cement.

Five steps are involved in cement production. To begin with, cement is manufactured by combining crushed raw materials such as limestone and clay. To create the perfect combination, all of these components are mixed. Furthermore, the mixture is put into a rotating heater. After the systemic process is complete, the mixture is converted into cement and packed into bags. After heating, this material is ground into cement, which is then packaged in bags for distribution.

Cement is a cementitious material that is used in the production of concrete. The remaining components are sand, water, and gravel. All of these components are mixed in a mixer to produce concrete, which contains about half gravel, quarter of sand, 15% cement, and 10% water.

BAND 6.5

The presented diagram illustrates the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and it also shows how it is used to produce concrete.

Regarding cement production, in the first step of the process, limestone and clay are put into a crusher, where the powder is made, and then it is shifted into a mixer. In the next step, the powder is heated with the help of a rotating heater in a machine. Thereafter, the heated powder is then ground in a machine. After that, the process of making cement is finished and it is packed into big bags to be sold to the customers.

Turning to concrete production, the first stage of making concrete for building purposes is water, which is used 10% in a concrete mixer. Cement is used 15%, whereas the highest amount of small stones is used to produce concrete. 25% of sand is preferred to make concrete. The materials are put together in a concrete mixer where they are rounded and concrete is ready for building purposes.

BAND 6.5

The diagrams illustrate the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process and also show how a concentrate is produced.

Overall, the cement production process consists of seven stages, beginning with crushing the limestone and ending up with packaging of ready materials.

Regarding cement production, in the first step of the process, limestone and clay are crushed together in a crusher. After that, the material is converted into a form of powder. Following that, the powder is transferred into a mixer, and then it is sent to a rotating heater where it is processed in a heater for some time. The next step is when the processed material is transferred to a grinder. Finally, the material is transformed into cement and it is packed into bags.

Turning to concrete production, the first step is when 15% cement, 10% water, 25% sand and 50% small stones are mixed together in a concrete mixer. Then, the mixed material is rounded in a mixer. Lastly, concrete is ready for constructing buildings.
