Sample Answer 1

Information sharing is a topic of ongoing debate in scientific research, commerce, and academic institutions. While some advocate for the open sharing of information, others believe that certain data should be protected. This essay will discuss both perspectives and offer my opinion on the matter.

Proponents of open sharing assert that it fosters collaboration, encourages innovation, and accelerates the advancement of various disciplines. The free exchange of information enables researchers and scientists to build upon existing knowledge, resulting in groundbreaking discoveries and advances. Transparency and open access to information in the business world can promote healthy competition, drive economic growth, and benefit consumers by fostering innovation and enhancing products.

On the other hand, proponents of limited information sharing argue that some information may be too essential or valuable to be freely shared. Intellectual property rights and commercial interests may necessitate the protection of certain discoveries or inventions in scientific research. Similarly, in order to maintain a competitive advantage and ensure their survival, businesses may need to protect trade secrets, proprietary technologies, and sensitive financial information.

I believe that a balance must be established between the sharing of information freely and the protection of sensitive data. While information sharing is essential for progress and collaboration, certain aspects may need to be protected. Respecting intellectual property rights will encourage innovation and provide researchers and businesses with incentives to invest in research and development. To ensure that valuable knowledge is disseminated and accessible for the greater good of society, patent systems, licencing agreements, and collaboration frameworks should be in place to allow for responsible sharing.

In conclusion, information sharing in scientific research, commerce, and academia is a complicated issue. Some information may need to be protected due to intellectual property rights and commercial considerations, despite the fact that open sharing promotes collaboration and progress. It is essential to strike a balance between open sharing and protection in order to foster innovation, encourage collaboration, and advance society as a whole.

BAND 6.5

Without a doubt, the need for space research to discover the past and the future of our planet earth is paramount. Space research indeed plays an important role in the growth of a nation. Sharing information about scientific research in the business and academic world is contentious, since there are compelling reasons both for and against.

Indeed, providing accurate information to the world has numerous upsides. One of them is that people become broad-minded, which means that when people have specific knowledge regarding new inventions, they become more intelligent, which helps people get better job opportunities. Also, gaining scientific information provides people with a platform to become civilized members of society, which gives a sense of satisfaction. The second positive is that people are indeed developing cognitive skills. As they learn about the different innovations, they become more self-reliant. Moreover, knowing relevant research is unarguably beneficial for their physical and mental development.

Despite the advantages, there are numerous downsides to sharing information. The first is that other countries adopt the same process, which is unquestionably detrimental to their development. Furthermore, sharing crucial information with other countries sometimes creates disputes among societies because people have different ideas and opinions regarding new advancements. Much needed information must be shared among other nations because it directly affects society's welfare.

To conclude, it seems to me that providing paramount information to society is essential to forming a developed nation, with the advantages of becoming confident and self-reliant.

BAND 6.5

Without a doubt, the last 15 years have witnessed a greater rise in the development of scientific research, businesses, and the academic world than in the preceding 30 years. Many people believe that sharing information is good practice, while others believe that some information has a significant role in a particular field, so it should not be shared with others. This essay will discuss the arguments in the upcoming paragraphs, along with my opinion.

Indeed, sharing information has numerous upsides. One of the most significant positives is that it helps generate new ideas. To put it another way, people might find solutions to a particular problem if they discuss and share their thoughts with others. For example, in the coronavirus pandemic, almost every research organisation has rushed towards finding antidotes for this deadly virus, and they have worked and shared relevant information about the virus, and finally they have introduced vaccines to protect against the virus. Furthermore, sharing facts and data in the business world plays a significant role in the overall growth of organisations. According to a survey conducted by the Times of India, the market price of small-scale companies' shares has increased from 20 per cent to 30 per cent, as they work with large-scale organisations.

Despite the advantages, there are many disadvantages to sharing information, too. The first negative is that some information has a crucial role in some organisations, such as in the defence system, intelligence agencies, and so on. These companies are based on data, which they interpret and analyse internally. They can not reveal the data to others because it contains many secret files, documents, and maps.

BAND 6.5

There is little room for doubt that the need for information in every field is paramount, as it gives a path for a beginner. The issue of whether information sharing should be public or private is controversial, as there are strong arguments for and against it.

On the one hand, many people believe that information should be shared publicly, since there are many upsides to it. Firstly, information about a particular field is linked with other fields directly or indirectly. For example, if a scientist made new inventions, they would help students to broaden their horizons. Moreover, business owners can use each other's strategies to improve their business, which also boosts the country's economy. Also, new technology may be developed by using information from different fields. For instance, an IT worker may design an app by using the information provided by doctors, which helps diagnose diseases easily.

On the other hand, some people argue that some information is valuable, and it can not be spread publicly because it may affect individuals. If information is provided freely, it can be used by wrong-doers. For example, last year, news came that some people were learning how to make explosives because the information was easily available on the internet. Thus, it may destroy the world. Furthermore, business owners do not want to share their product information, as it can be used by others. They make their products more appealing.

In conclusion, it seems to me that information that has devastating consequences must not be spread publicly.
