                Without a doubt, there are many reasons to include history as a topic in school. The first is to educate children about the historical events, cultures, and customs that shaped them. For example, the Harappan civilisation of ancient Pakistan and India thrived as a Bronze Age civilization 5,000 years ago, but its towns were abandoned a thousand years later. Additionally, through studying history, children learn about the origins of commerce and trade. For instance, the Indus Valley civilization imparted extensive knowledge about agriculture, livestock, domestic animals, and trade networks.
