53. Some people think that having a set retirement age (e.g. 65 years) for everybody, regardless of occupation, is unfair. They believe that certain workers deserve to retire and receive a pension at an earlier age.

Do you agree or disagree?

Which types of workers do you think should benefit from early retirement?

Sample Answer 1

BAND 7

There is no question that the past few decades have witnessed the establishment of a fixed retirement age for professionals in the workforce. I, along with many others, think that certain workers who have health-related issues should be retired and given pension plans, so that they may easily maintain their standard of living for the remainder of their lives.

There is no disputing the fact that retirement is a formal event held for senior workers who have served their companies for several years in one capacity or another. Interestingly, businesses also offer retirement funds and health-care facilities, allowing their former employees to live happily ever after without experiencing any difficulties. However, some working professionals are inefficient and careless in their jobs, and, as a result, they are unable to achieve organisational objectives towards the end of their working years, since the majority of people in the 50-60 age group are not productive and innovative. As a result, they choose to retire early, and companies hire both new and experienced employees. Pre-retirement benefits both organisations and non-productive workers who use this technique to achieve their objectives.

There are many benefits to taking early retirement for ill employees, to be sure. A significant advantage is that they are capable of caring for themselves as well as their family members, which is a significant advantage. To put it another way, since they are unable to contribute to the success of their organisations, they may find themselves under the control of upper-level management. Thus, there is a greater likelihood of developing mental health problems such as anxiety and sadness. Furthermore, employees who have accomplished their goals and desires may consider taking advantage of retirement benefits before reaching the age of retirement to ensure that the next generation has the chance to work for an organisation. Furthermore, the rate of unemployment may be reduced as a result of this approach.

To conclude, it seems to me that retiring before the age of retirement is the greatest practice for recruiting new and experienced job searchers, since it has the potential to decrease the number of jobless individuals in a given nation.

BAND 6.5

There is little room for doubt that the last 15 years have seen a defined retirement age for working professionals. I, like many others, believe that particular employees who have health-related problems should be retired and provided with pension schemes, so they can easily get bread and butter for the rest of their lives.

There is no denying the fact that retirement is a ceremony for elderly employees who have worked for their organisations for several years. Interestingly, companies also provide retirement funds and health facilities, so their ex-workers live happily without facing any problems. Notably, some working professionals are inefficient and irresponsible in their work, which means they are unable to meet organizational goals at the end of their working years because the majority of them are not productive and creative in the 50-60 age range.

Thus, they choose early retirement, and organisations recruit freshers and experienced candidates. By this method, both organisations and non-efficient employees have the advantages of pre-retirement.

Certainly, there are numerous advantages to taking an early retirement for sick workers. One of the most important positives is that they can look after themselves as well as their family members, too. To put it another way, they are unable to work productively for their organisations, so they might be suppressed by upper-level management. Therefore, there is a higher probability of mental issues such as anxiety and depression. Furthermore, workers, who have achieved their dreams and wishes, should take retirement benefits before age so that the new generation gets an opportunity to work for an organisation. Moreover, the rate of unemployment might decline by this method.

To conclude, it seems to me that retirement before the age is the best practice for recruiting new and experienced job seekers because this might reduce the number of unemployed people in a country.
