Regarding the demand for electricity in winter and summer, on a typical winter day, in England, 33000 units of electricity are consumed, while in summer, 17000 units of electricity are used on an average day. In winter, the lowest amount of electricity is consumed between 5 am and 9 am, whereas the highest amount is used from 9 pm to 11 pm.
Turning to how electricity is used by an average English home, 52.5% of total electricity is used to heat rooms and water. The figure for oven kettles and washing machines stood at 17.5%. The proportion of lighting, TV and radio was 15%.
In summary, it can be seen clearly that in England the consumption of electricity in winter is way more than in summer.
