The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.

                                The line graph presents the average CO2 emissions per individual in four nations (the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, and Portugal) from 1967 to 2007. Overall, emissions increased in Italy and Portugal, while they decreased in the United Kingdom and Sweden.

                        Regarding Portugal and Italy, Portugal's CO2 emissions started at one metric tonne at the beginning of the period and rose to approximately five metric tonnes by the end of the period. Similarly, Italy emitted 4.5 tonnes of gas in 1967, which decreased to approximately 2.5 tonnes in 2007.

      Turning to the United Kingdom and Sweden, both countries experienced a decline in carbon dioxide emissions. Particularly in the UK, emissions decreased from around 11 metric tonnes per year to 9 million metric tonnes in 2007. In the case of Sweden, emissions increased from 8 to 11 million metric tonnes at the start of the time period but subsequently decreased significantly, reaching the same level as Portugal by 2007 (5 mt).

              The following line graph illustrates variations in the average quantity of CO2 released by individuals in four nations, namely the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, and Portugal, from 1967 to 2007. Overall, emissions rose in Italy and Portugal, but they fell in the United Kingdom and Sweden.

             Regarding Portugal and Italy, in Portugal, CO2 emission was only at one metric tonne at the beginning of the period, but there was an increase to a high of roughly five metric tonnes at the end of the period. Similarly, Italy emitted 4.5 tonnes of gas in 1967 and approximately 2.5 tonnes in 2007.

        Turning to the United Kingdom and Sweden, both countries saw their carbon dioxide emissions fall, mainly the UK, where emissions fell from approximately 11 metric tonnes per year to 9 million metric tonnes in 2007. In the case of Sweden, emissions increased from 8 to 11 million metric tonnes at the start of the time period, but then fell substantially until they had reached the same level as Portugal by 2007 (5 mt).

                                The presented graphic below gives information about the release of CO2 gas by every individual daily residing in four distinct nations in a four-year period beginning in 1967.

                      It is crystal clear that in 1967, the people of Sweden emitted more CO2 (8.5 metric tonnes) than the Britons, who attained a period of stability, at approximately 11 tonnes, before falling erratically to 10 tonnes in the mid-1997 and 1987, and subsequently dropping throughout 2007. Just above 10 metric tonnes, a peak in breathing out CO2 was seen in the masses of Sweden, followed by a sharp decline in CO2 emissions in 1987, declining wildly to less than 6 tonnes, before tailing off.

                        Proceeding further, emissions of CO2 by people went up in both Italy and Portugal to over 6 and 2 metric tonnes in 1997, while a fall is seen with a rise in Italy, and remained unchanged till 2007. Portuguese CO2 emissions were stable between 1997 and 2007.

                In general, the trend for exhaling CO2 for the British and the people of Sweden was downwards, whereas for the Italians and Portuguese it was fitfully upwards.

                                  The bar graph illustrates the amount of carbon dioxide emitted per person in four different countries from 1967 to 2007. Overall, carbon dioxide emissions in Italy and Portugal followed an upward trend, whereas Sweden and the UK followed a downward trend.

                                    In 1967, over 8 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide was emitted in Sweden, after which emissions increased and reached a high of above 10 metric tonnes in 1977 before falling back to a low of under 6 metric tonnes in 2007. In the UK, there was a gradual decrease from around 11 metric tonnes in 1967 to about 9 metric tonnes in 2007.

                                        Turning to Italy and Portugal, only 1 metric tonne of CO2 was emitted in Portugal (1967), and there was a considerable rise of around 5 metric tonnes in 2007. The average CO2 emissions were almost 4 metric tonnes in Italy in 1967, which was followed by a significant rise of above 7 metric tonnes in 2007. It is noticeable that the amount of CO2 emissions was the same in Sweden and Portugal in 2007.
