Proponents of equal gender representation argue, on the one hand, that it fosters a just and inclusive society. By guaranteeing equal opportunities for both genders, universities can promote diversity and dismantle traditional gender stereotypes, according to the authors. In addition, proportionate representation can improve collaboration and foster innovative thought because it brings together a variety of perspectives and experiences.

However, I believe that merit-based admission is a more effective strategy. Academic excellence and aptitude, not a student's gender, should be the deciding factors in their acceptance into a university. There is little doubt that the educational system has changed more in the past 15 years than it has in the preceding 30. As many others think, equal chances should be provided to male and female students when it comes to choosing their preferred courses.
Certainly, there are many advantages to gender equality. One of the most critical problems is inequality, which means that if colleges granted equal rights to men and women, society would be free of prejudice. Additionally, the rural illiteracy rate may be decreased, indicating that individuals may have a greater appreciation for the importance of education as they acquire information about their values and beliefs. According to a poll done by the Times of India, Europe's illiteracy rate is much lower than that of other nations due to equitable access to education and moral support from parents. As a consequence, the majority of individuals work for international companies, which is why Europe is the ideal location for software development.
On the other hand, admitting an equal number of male and female students is impractical. Additionally, men's favourite topics are usually distinct from women's preferred ones. For example, nursing is the most preferred topic among female applicants since it suits their personality; furthermore, according to the study, roughly 80% of seats are booked by women, compared to 20% for males, making it difficult to provide equal rights to both genders in certain instances.

Certainly, there are numerous upsides to giving equal rights to both genders. One of the most important issues is inequality, meaning that if universities gave equal rights to both genders, there might be no discrimination in the country. Furthermore, the illiteracy rate in rural areas may be reduced, implying that people may become more aware of the value of education as they gain knowledge of their values and beliefs. A survey conducted by the Times of India has revealed that the illiteracy rate in Europe is much lower compared to other countries because of having an equal right to study along with the moral support of parents. I, like many others, believe that universities or colleges should accept equal numbers of male and female pupils in each subject, as it would be a great step to deal with gender discrimination.
Certainly, there are numerous upsides to equalizing male and female pupils in every subject. One of the most significant positives is that both genders might get an equal opportunity to study at universities or colleges. To put it another, there would not be gender discrimination. A survey, conducted by the Times of India, has revealed that most developed countries, such as the USA, Canada and Germany, have equalised the number of admissions for boys and girls, so they might get a chance to learn at the top-level universities or colleges in their nations.
There is no denying the fact that education is for students, whether there is a boy or a girl; however, some universities give preference to male students in admission, neglecting female students. This might be a bad practice which they are performing. As a consequence, this would have a negative impact on our society. This is an example of gender discrimination. Thus, the government should give punishment to those individuals, who are practising these kinds of social evils.
In conclusion, it seems to me that equalize the number of admissions in terms of boys and girls so that both genders get equal opportunities to learn in every field of study and become successful in their lives.
