                                   There is no doubting the fact that there has been tremendous development in the transportation system in the last two decades. Thus, it gives a sense of comfortability and flexibility to almost every individual, whereas it is not good for humans' health. In my opinion, its disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

                                     Indeed, using public transport, cycling or walking has several pros as compared to private transport for travellers. One important benefit is relief from traffic congestion, meaning that there will be fewer vehicles on the roads, resulting in less pollution and more savings. The second advantage is that it is good for individuals' health. For example, if people prefer cycling and walking for going to work or school, they may be free from many health diseases like high blood pressure, depression and many more. According to a recent survey conducted by the Times of India, 75% of India's population is suffering from obesity due to their sedentary lifestyle. Moreover, modern public transport is very fast and reliable. For instance, if people travel by metro trains, one of the fastest means of transport, they might reach their destinations very early, which saves a significant amount of their productive time.

                                 On the contrary, private transport has many upsides, too. The first one is that people prefer to travel by their own cars due to their flexibility and comfortability, especially in the countryside, where public transportation service is very low. They have to rely on their own vehicles. Secondly, private vehicles are beneficial in an emergency situation. Sometimes, we have to travel at midnight, so private vehicles are more reliable.

                               In conclusion, having seen effective views on both sides of the case, it seems to me that public transport has numerous advantages because it is beneficial for both humans' health and the environment also.
