    The diagram outlines a simplified procedure for generating energy at a hydroelectric power plant. The process consists of two stages: a day stage focused on power generation utilising the river's flow and water storage in a reservoir, and a night stage involving the release of water back into the river and reservoir.

To begin, the river is directed towards a high-level reservoir that is created by constructing a dam. A landscaped open area facilitates the flow of water towards the power plant, which is accessible only during the daytime. During daylight hours, water from the reservoir flows through the turbines of the power station, generating electricity. The generated electricity is then transmitted to the power grid, while any excess water is directed into a low-level reservoir.

During the night stage, the water accumulated in the low-level reservoir is released back into the high-level reservoir. This process ensures that the river water is maintained at its highest level, allowing it to flow down and complete the cycle of energy generation.

Overall, the diagram demonstrates the cyclic nature of hydroelectric power generation, where water flow and storage are utilised to produce electricity during the day, while at night, the water is returned to its original reservoir and the river to maintain the continuous cycle.

During the day, water runs through the power station's turbines to generate electricity, which is subsequently sent to the power grid, with excess water flowing into a low-level reservoir.

 

         At night, the water gathered in the low-level reservoir is pushed back into the high-level reservoir. The river water is kept at the highest level to flow it down to complete the cycle.

                                 The process diagram depicts the procedure of generating electricity at a hydroelectric power plant. Overall, the process consists of 2 stages: a day stage in which river water is used to generate electricity. At night, the water is pumped back to its original position.

                          At the beginning of the process, river water must be channelled into a high-level reservoir that is backed up by a dom. There is a landscape intake area, which is open during the day and closed at night. During the day, water flows to the power station where electricity is generated with the help of turbines. Subsequently, it is sent to the national grid through power lines while excess water is stored in a low-level reservoir.

                                    At the second stage, during the night, the power station's turbines work reversible, which means the water in the low-level reservoir is pumped back to the high-level reservoir, and the landscape intake area is closed.
