Sample Answer 1

The provided maps depict the changes in the road network surrounding a City Hospital between 2007 and 2010. Overall, significant renovations were made in 2010, including the addition of a bus station, two roundabouts, and separate public parking facilities.

In 2007, the hospital road was connected to both the city road and the ring road. The ring road featured three bus stops on each side, and there was a shared parking area on the east side of the hospital road that served both the public and hospital personnel.

In 2010, notable transformations took place. Firstly, the shared parking area was exclusively designated for hospital employees, while a new public parking lot was established on the east side of the hospital road. Additionally, two roundabouts were constructed at the intersections of the city road and the ring road on both sides of the hospital road. Finally, the three existing bus stops on each side of the hospital road were removed, and a new bus station was established on the west side of the hospital road. This new bus station was connected to the newly constructed roundabouts, providing improved accessibility.

Overall, the 2010 renovations brought significant changes to the road network near the City Hospital, including improved parking facilities, the addition of roundabouts, and the relocation of the bus station to enhance transportation connectivity.

Band 5.5

The maps illustrate the pre-construction and post-construction images of a road which was connected to a city hospital in 2007 and 2010.

Overall, the road has witnessed spectacular changes: a bus station, a roundabout, and a newly developed car park which was constructed without much affecting the natural resources.

To begin with, a new bus station was constructed to the west of the broad. Interestingly, a hospital road was reconstructed, and two roundabouts were added to manage the traffic on the road. The most notable development was the construction of a new staff car park which was located at the end of the hospital road. Notably, a public car park area was constructed on the eastern side of the city hospital and it was framed by the outer ring road which connects with the city hospital which was constructed in the centre.

The two maps illustrate road access to a city hospital in 2007 and after modification in 2010. Overall, dramatic changes have taken place, including separate public and staff parking, the addition of two roundabouts and a bus station.
