Yes, it is quite common in India for people to visit each other's homes. People in India often enjoy visiting family, friends, and neighbours in their home and socializing over food.

When people visit each other in India, they often exchange pleasantries, share stories, and exchange gifts. They may also share a meal together or chit chat over tea or snacks. In some cases, visitors may bring something for the host family to show their appreciation.

3. Are gifts necessary when visiting others?

Gifts are not necessary when visiting others in India, but they are often given out of respect and politeness. Gifts can range from something as small as a box of sweets or chocolates to something more elaborate like jewelry or clothing.

4. Why do some people buy lots of things for their home?

Some people in India buy lots of items for their home in order to show their status and wealth. People may also buy items to impress their guests and make their home look more attractive. Buying items for the home is also seen as an expression of one’s taste and style.

5. Is it better to own your own home or to rent?

This depends on the individual's circumstances and financial situation. Buying your own home is often seen as a sign of financial security and stability, as it can be seen as a long-term investment. On the other hand, renting can be a more affordable option and can provide more flexibility.

6. Why don’t some people care about how their home looks?

Some people may not care about how their home looks because they are too busy with other things. Others may simply not have the means to make renovations or buy new items for their home. Additionally, some people may feel that it’s not important to focus on the aesthetics of one’s home.

7. What are some of the pleasures involved in making a home for ourselves?

8. Would you prefer to live in a flat/apartment or a house? [Why?]

This depends on the individual's needs and preferences. A flat or apartment may be appealing for those who prefer to live in a more urban area, while a house may be more suitable for those who prefer to live in a more rural area. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference.

9. Can you compare houses and flats/apartments.

Houses and flats/apartments differ in many ways, including size, location, amenities, and cost. Houses tend to be larger and often have more space and privacy, while flats/apartments are usually smaller and located in more urban areas. Additionally, flats/apartments often come with amenities such as a gym or a pool, while houses typically do not. Lastly, flats/apartments tend to be more expensive than houses.

10. What kind of place do people in your country like to live in?

In India, people tend to prefer living in a house rather than a flat/apartment. Houses tend to be larger and provide more space and privacy, making them ideal for families. Additionally, many people in India prefer to live in rural areas, as they typically have more access to natural resources and greenery.
