Politeness
Are people more polite with non-family members than they are with their parents?
It depends on the individual and the context. Some people may be more polite with non-family members because they are not as close, while others may treat their parents and other non-family members with the same level of politeness.
Are people today as polite as people were in the past?
This is difficult to answer definitively, as politeness can vary greatly from person to person and culture to culture. However, it is generally accepted that people today are generally less polite than people in the past. This could be due to the increased pace of life, the prevalence of technology, or the general decrease in face-to-face interactions.

Showing respect to others is important because it is a sign of basic human decency and kindness. It sets the tone for how you want to be treated in return. Respect communicates that you value someone else’s thoughts, feelings, and opinions. It also helps to promote trust and mutual understanding in any relationship. Respect allows people to feel safe, valued, and heard.
4. How do people show politeness in your country?
In my country, people show politeness by saying please and thank you when asking for or receiving something. People also typically greet each other with a handshake, a hug, or a kiss on the cheek when they meet. People also open doors for each other, stand up when someone enters a room, and speak in a polite and courteous tone. Additionally, people usually address each other with titles such as “Mr.” or “Mrs.” and avoid using swear words.
5. How do you deal with impolite people?
When dealing with impolite people, it is important to remain calm and collected and take a step back to assess the situation. Instead of retaliating in a negative way, it is best to try to be understanding and compassionate. If the situation is escalating, it may be helpful to try to diffuse the situation by redirecting the conversation or excusing yourself. If the person is being verbally abusive, it is best to remove yourself from the situation and reach out to a friend or family member for support.
6. What kinds of behavior are considered impolite?
Some examples of impolite behavior include speaking disrespectfully to someone, interrupting someone while they are speaking, making rude comments, rolling your eyes, or talking too loudly in a public place. Other impolite behaviors include being late to a meeting or appointment, not saying please or thank you, not offering to help someone in need, or not making eye contact when speaking with someone.
